Broiler chicken is a superior breed of chicken with high productivity in producing meat. To improve the Broiler chicken is a superior breed of chicken with high productivity in producing meat. To improve the production performance of broiler chickens, one of the efforts is to add feed additives in the feed. Garlic (Allium sativum) is an herbal plant that contains active compounds such as allicin, scordinin, and sulfur compounds that have the potential as natural feed additives for broiler chickens. This review article examines several studies related to the use of garlic flour as a feed additive in broiler diets. The addition of garlic flour at the level of 0.04-0.6% in broiler rations can significantly increase feed consumption, body weight gain, and ration conversion. Garlic meal can also reduce cholesterol levels in broiler meat, especially at levels of 4.5% or more, although its effect on reducing blood cholesterol is still inconsistent. However, in some cases studies reported that no significant difference was found from the addition of turmeric in broiler diets. It is estimated that the correct dose of turmeric addition to the ration has not been found, so that maximum results are not obtained.
